A quick visit

This past weekend, our friends stopped by for a visit with their adorable daughter...Eliot tries to be gentle, but she really wants to kiss the baby.

Eliot succeeds in getting a smooch planted!

Eliot realizes that perhaps she wasn't quite gentle enough:

A few new things

We have been "updating" things around the house recently.
We had a patio put in and some landscaping done for Wynne's birthday. We are enjoying it SO much - we're out there almost every single day.
You'd think Houston would be too hot, but it is really nice in the late afternoon/early evening (that said, it IS still early June!).

I'm including a before picture, since while we waited for the landscape guys, we did nothing to the yard (except spray it w/ poison to kill it all).

The green stuff you see is all a hardy mixture of weeds:

The guys pouring what would soon be our patio!

Our new grass and flower bed with a crepe myrtle:

Eliot, enjoying the cool water:

I made Eliot little curtains (24" squares) to match her crib bedding.

I love that I was able to use the pink and brown herringbone twill tape I've been saving since before she was born for "some project" for her room!!

I'd been waiting to do something creative with the sweater that I was wearing when Wynne proposed and finally got a pattern for a kitty plushie:

Eliot and I made a card for Dad at the Farmer's Market (for free!!)...I think he will absolutely love it. And, just in case you're wondering, no, Wynne won't see this before Father's Day! :)

A time for catching up...

So now that it is June 2008 and it has been almost a year since our last post, we've decided that we really need to jump back on the blogging bandwagon.

Eliot celebrated her 1st birthday

We had a fun family vacation

She got to be a Bzzzzzy Bee for Halloween (which consisted of dressing up and taking pictures in our living room)

She "enjoyed" Christmas...

...and Easter

She is growing up so fast...19 months old already!!

Oh! Did we mention Eliot will be welcoming a new sister sometime this October? :)

This is her profile:

This is her foot - it is upside down; toes pointing towards the lower left hand corner:

Hope you enjoyed catching up with us!
